The meeting was held in Shatsk (Volyn region), and was attended by the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, the representatives of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, Ministries for Labour and Social Policy, Finance, Economy; local authorities, trade unions, Council of the Ukrainian Veterans' Organization; Institute for Demography and Social Research at the National Academy of Science of Ukraine; the Blue Ribbon Analytical and Advisory Centre by the United Nations Development Programme; the World Bank, and the International Labour Organization.
The attendants of the Round Table were informed about the organization of activity of the Pension Fund Department in Kovel as regards reception of accountability reports in electronic form from insurance fee payers; and customer work regarding fiscal charges to the Pension Fund.
Valeriy Sushkevych, Committee Chairman, dwelled upon the main stages of pension reform introduction in Ukraine. The Laws "On Obligatory State Retirement Insurance" and "On Non-Governmental Pension Provision" adopted by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Year 2003, served as a basis for the reform.
The Committee Chairman deems necessary to boost further introduction of the reform and its adjustment due to the experience, and social and economic situation in the country.
Further reforms of pension system should enhance the significance of accumulative constituents of the pension system as a factor of diversification of income sources.
O.Zarudny, Director of Management Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, deems necessary to introduce amendments to the legislation, and improve the system of its implementation, which requires creation of a relevant organization and technical basis and introduction of modern information technologies.
The attendants of the Round Table adopted guidelines concerning further realization of State policy in the field of pension provision and pension reform.
